How is Meditation going to Generate World Peace?

Not only is meditation great for the mind, body, and emotional self, it also affects the world around us.

Scientific Studies have shown that in cities all over the world, when as little as 1% of the population practiced simultaneous group meditation, the trend of rising crime rate is reversed, indicating increased order and harmony. Having a high brain wave coherence can create coherence in collective consciousness, and generate a unifying and integrating effect in society.  This results in a decrease in negative societal trends such as crime, accidents, and sickness. Not only that, but there is an increase in positive social, economic, and political trends as well. This is what is referred to in physics as the field effect. Similar to the Meisner effect, individual consciousness effects collective consciousness. It is a universal principal in nature, in which internally coherent systems possess the ability to repel negative external influences while incoherent systems are easily penetrated by disorder from the outside. The effects of the these studies were observed firsthand in Lebanon during the Civil War, when 7000 participants seeking peace meditated together in Jerusalem to bring peace to Lebanon. This powerful peace project, conducted by the TM foundation, in 1983, demonstrated that on days when there was a high participation of meditators, a 76 percent reduction of war deaths occurred, as well as reduction in crime and fires, decrease in traffic accidents, and an increase in economic growth. All of this was achieved simply by combining people’s intention for peace and coherence, with the elevated emotions of love and compassion. This clearly demonstrates that the more unified the consciousness of a group of people is, the more it can change the consciousness and the energy of others in a nonlocal way.
