Six Tips to Happiness
2020 is almost over and everyone is ready for it to end.
For the new year to be full of momentum and peace of mind, and to get rid of stress, I offer you 6 tips to get the best mindset for 2021.
First advice: Always smile. Smiling helps the brain feel happy. “Sometimes your joy is the source of your smile, but other times your smile can be the source of your joy.” ~ Thich Nhat Hanh. In a previous article published in the “electronic psychologytoday” newspaper, it was said that smiling helps activate nerve messages in the brain, sorting out neuropeptides that help reduce psychological stress [1]. In addition, the smile triggers the release of neurotransmitters such as dopamine, serotonin and endorphins, which help relax the body and reduce the heart rate. Finally, the serotonin that is released during a smile acts as an antidepressant and helps alter a bad mood.
Second tip: Listen to music, music is the key to relaxing and enjoying your time. In addition, many studies have shown that music affects intelligence, growth, and the ability to concentrate ... Therefore, we must choose the best types of music to help us get rid of stress, such as classical music, nature sounds, and other music that you enjoy.
Third advice: Express yourself by dancing, for dancing is the only body language through which we can release our deepest feelings, stored in our core depths. Dancing of all kinds helps us release hormones and neurotransmitters, that make us feel refreshed and psychologically comfortable.
Fourth tip: Meditate and do yoga exercises. Meditation is one of the oldest mental practices on Earth, and it helps the brain to change mental waves from “beta” waves to “alpha” waves, thus reducing mental disturbances and disruptions resulting from the rapid societal pattern in our daily life. Yoga is an exercise that helps the mind relax and stimulates the body to treat diseases and strengthen immunity.
Fifth tip: Surround yourself with friends who love you. The greatest blessing we have is the ability to communicate with others, and share details of our lives, small and large, with people with whom we have close friendship. Our friends help us enjoy our time, even if it is miserable, hopefully everyone will appreciate this blessing.
Sixth tip: Learn to live and enjoy the present moment. Most people with mental disorders are people who live either in the past or in the future, which impedes their ability to live in the present moment and enjoy their time, and spend most of the time in anxiety and great mental stimulation. My advice to you ... live in the moment and learn to appreciate it because now it is the only one. The best way to get rid of stress lies with our will and our ingenuity to create a healthy environment to motivate us to change and move forward towards a psychological wind and a better tomorrow. May 2021 be a year full of enthusiasm and passion, full of peace and harmony.
